Where can I find the best medical anatomy illustrations?
Is there some website with good illustrations I could go to?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Hello dm7,
When looking for the best medical illustrations online, you will find many websites that offer medical illustrations for a price. These illustrations are provided online after registration and payment of fees. One such website which has illustrations by Frank H. Netter and John Craig and Carlos Machado is Netter Images (http://www.netterimages.com/). There are some trial images on offer here, they are called mini collections. Currently there are two mini collections on offer, one is of the hand and the other of the spine, please check the links below:
http://www.netterimages.com/collection/hand/index.htm
http://www.netterimages.com/collection/spine/index.htm
As part of these collections various injuries associated with these body parts are illustrated. Some causes of injuries are also illustrated.
The DOE Report is another good site for medical illustrations; however, the ones at this website are specifically designed to be used by lawyers: http://www.doereport.com/index.php?A=&I=1. This is a pay and use site and illustrations are priced according to file format and size.
A good website with free medical illustrations is: http://www.bartleby.com/107/indexillus.html. Here illustrations contained in Anatomy of the Human Body written by Henry Gray are listed. You can browse images via thumbnails and look at large sized versions of images. One such medical illustration available at this website is: http://www.bartleby.com/107/illus468.html
