Where can I find some cheap digital toy cameras that work? Nothing special!

I somehow don't think it's a good idea that my son (5) is photographing, i.e. playing with my expensive Nikon! But he loves photographing. Where can I buy him his own first toy camera?
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

There are a lot of Toy Digital Cameras for kids that you can find at major retailers like Amazon and Toys ‘R Us. There are Barbie Cameras, Buzz Lightyear Cameras and a variety of Fisher Price cameras. They range in price from $29 to $49. Toy cameras are really indestructible but they are not very useful to teach children about photography. They do not have normal viewfinders or exposure controls and as they get a little older they will not want to be seen with a Barbie Camera.

Another alternative is to get a camera like a Kodak EasyShare Digital camera. You can get this 10 Megapixel Camera for around $59. Canon and Nikon also make very inexpensive Compact Digital Cameras. You will sacrifice a little in indestructibility but when child becomes a little older the camera will still be useful and not in the toy box.

You can actually buy your son a digital camera of his own. Kids digital camera is available nowadays for kids to both play and practice with photography using real digital cameras. A kids digital camera usually costs less than a hundred bucks so it really is a good camera to give a child. You can check out brands such as Sakar, VTech, and Fisher-Price.
