I’ve gotta say, this question is a new one. I answer the ones that will make me do some research, and this one caught me because I couldn’t think of a single recipe that had pears. It’s perhaps the only fruit I’ve ever only eaten alone....only.
Allrecipes.com has a great page on baking with pears that also gives you tips on how to pick a pear and some education on how pears ripen. There are a great number of pear desert recipes that include pears in chocolate sauce, which I’ve never even heard of.
Leave it to the Food Network to have great recipes. They have a picture of a pear pie that is begging me to take a bite out of my screen. They also have tips to coring and poaching pears.
