Cc_clover, there is a slew of affordable hotels in downtown Lake Charles, Louisiana. What I'm going to do is list a website for you to go to that has the listing for three decent hotels in that area, and an option at the bottom of that webpage that will list more hotels for you. Go to www.hotelguides.com, and when you enter the site, just click on the "US Hotels" option and go from there. Here are a couple more sites for you to check out for variety. They are www.hotelrooms.com and www.expedia.com, and just follow the options. These 3 sites I listed just about all have hotel information in general, as well as forums that give brief reviews of the hotels they have listed. Just so you know Lake Charles has ''Comfort Inn'' and ''Howard Johnson'' Hotels, which are main branches and are very popular to stay at for there affordable prices and comfort level.
