Where can I find oldschool impact (not electric) typewriters nowadays?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

This one is a Royal and sells for $77.99 with free shipping http://www.amazon.com/Royal-06200x-Manual-Typewriters/dp/B000F7VF2A
It gets poor reviews though.
For a better-reviewed one, I found another Royal at The Vermont Country Store for $199.00. It is the "Premier Plus" as opposed to the "Plus" and I guess it makes a difference. There are 4 reviews and all are good. http://www.vermontcountrystore.com/browse/Home/For-The-Home/Home-Furnishings/Home-Office/Olivetti-Manual-Typewriter/D/30103/P/1:100:1030:10320:101030/I/f09529?evar3=SEARCH
I'm not sure what the brand is of this one, but it's $79.99 + $4.99 shipping http://hobbies-leisure.drleonards.com/Hobbies-Leisure/Home-Office-Essentials/Manual-Typewriter/21901.cfm?key=18139100&utm_campaign=SearchFeeds&utm_source=Nextag&utm_medium=CPC&utm_term=10394617&cm_mmc=SearchFeeds-_-Nextag-_-FreeShip-_-10394617&srccode=cii_9324560&cpncode=19-24266289-2
If neither of these fits what you want, try searching for "manual typewriter".
I'm not sure where to look if you want to find a brick & mortar store.
