Where can I find more information on real French cuisine?
I want a book and a video to show me some quick French cooking. I want to throw a party with authentic French recipes and the right wine to go with the dishes. Where can I find out?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

My favorite French cuisine books are Flavours of Provence: Recipes from the South of France by Clare Ferguson and Simple French Cookery by Raymond Blanc. But if you want a good list of the top French Cuisine books, try the list from Amazon at http://www.amazon.co.uk/FAVOURITE-FRENCH-BOOKS-particular-order/lm/R2GVSXMPFM3O31. For the videos, I really like the one’s from http://www.bestcookvideos.com/tag/french-food/ - they provide a step by step explanation how to properly cook every dish.
You can also find free recipes online like the ones at http://frenchfood.about.com/ - which is a website dedicated solely to provide new and old French Cuisine recipes that you can access anytime. Tips in wine pairing is best taken from http://www.thespicedepot.com/Food-and-Wine-Pairings/Ethnic-Spices/French-Cuisine/ - they have a short article that you can read how you can determine yourself which wine goes with each dish. Hope it helps!
