What is the average pay for nursing careers? What is the best way to seek employment in the nursing profession?
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The average pay for nursing careers depends on the level of education you have as well as what type of nurse you are, such as what is your specialty, and in what type of facility are you working in. There is also a difference in pay between states. According to payscale.com, a median LPN's salary is anywhere from $16.25 to $18.50. LPN's often have less than two years of school and aren't allowed to work in some nursing specialties.

The median salary for RN's was between $25.84 and $33.73. RN's typically enter a 2 - 4 year program and can work in an specialty they chose. RN's that chose a 4 year degree can also go on to earn an advanced nursing degree which means more education and more money.

The best way to seek employment in the nursing profession is complete a program of study and contact a nursing recruiter. Many schools also offer job placement.
