A great way to find out about Lord of the Rings conventions and other events is to become a part of an official fan club. One of the best fan clubs I could find is called The One Ring. You can visit their website at www.theonering.net. This website has the best information on upcoming Lord of the Rings events.
Lucca Comic Convention Lord of the Rings Cosplay is one of the largest conventions I could find. This convention is held in Europe. Another large convention is called DragonCon. It is reportedly the largest fan-based convention in the world. The DragonCon convention is held in Atlanta every year. You can visit www.dragoncon.org to learn more about this convention. In 2011 the DragonCon will be held from September 2nd to 5th.
