Where can I find distribution of people on the autistic spectrum? What percentage have Kanner's Syndrome? What percentage HFA?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Different sources give varying estimates of the prevalence of autism spectrum disorders in general, from around 6 per 1000 to as high as 10 per 1000 individuals. Furthermore, the classification of ASDs is still somewhat vague; for example, "high-functioning autism" may be classified as autism, Asperger's, or PDD-NOS (pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified).
The one full set of statistics I found correlates well with the low-end estimates of ASD frequency:
All ASDs, 6 per 1000
PDD-NOS, 3.7 per 1000
Autism, 1-2 per 1000
Asperger's, 0.6 per 1000
Childhood disintegrative disorder*, 0.02 per 1000

* Note that the National Institutes of Health consider ASDs to include only autism, Asperger's, and PDD-NOS. Childhood disintegrative disorder and Rett syndrome are considered pervasive developmental disorders not on the autism spectrum. Kanner syndrome is a synonym for classical autism.
