Where can I find bus information for Tampa?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Getting around the city of Tampa, Florida using public transportation is pretty easy. You can ride a bus or take one the intown trolleys. The bus service that serves the Tampa area is the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit better known as HART.

The Intown Trolley service operates a Green line and a Purple line. Both serve certain destinations throughout the city. The fares to ride the trolleys one way are just 25 cents. Maps and schedules can be found on the HART website..

The Green line serves
"Tampa Convention Center, St. Pete Times Forum, Downtown Tampa Hotels, Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, Tampa Museum of Art, Tampa Theatre, Florida Aquarium, Garrison Seaport, Downtown Parking Garages"

The Purple line serves
"Marion Transit Center, TECO Line Streetcar System, Downtown Tampa Hotels, Tampa City Hall, Federal and County Courthouses, Harbour Island, St. Pete Times Forum, Tampa Convention Center, Tampa Museum of Art, Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, Tampa Theatre."

There are 30 bus routes operating daily all around the city. Each route connects with several others so you can easily get to your destination. The fare for a one way local ride is $1.75, Express is $2.75. There are discounts available if you meet certain requirements. All the maps and schedules for all the bus routes are available on the HART website.
