Where can I find a Tivo/DVR for use with DirectTV that only requires one cable input?

Tivo/DVR's typically allow you to record two shows at one time; however, this usually requires two cable lines going into the box. During our last install, the "technicians" told us that DirectTV was going to be coming out with a DVR that only required one input. Has anyone heard anything similar?
Tip for best answer: M$0.50
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

You must use DirecTVs own DVR. It only uses one imput. The tivo listed above WILL NOT WORK SEAMLESSLY. You must use the DirecTV box. Call up DirecTV and request an upgrade to their DVR. You can choose between an HD DVR or a Standard Def DVR. This box is both your DirecTV tuner and your DVR in one unit.

I am pretty sure this model will work. I have it (but use over the air free channels) and it has one cable input required.

DRT800 Tivo HUMAX DVD-R model

Also, I looked up a picture of the back of the unit (below) to confirm that this is the input parameters you wanted.

Two questions

1) Is this unit compatible with DirecTV

2) Does this unit record two shows simultaneously?
