Where can I find a SSD drive for my MacBook Pro that is bigger than 128 MB?

This is a 17" MacBook Pro with a SATA 2.5" drive.
Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Check out both the Samsung site and the Intel site for local retailers. As this is being written, Intel is in the process of building a flash technology offering higher capacity SSD devices, which at first will be very expensive, but then will drop significantly in price within months. Samsung will release drives behind them to compete.
Because there are discussions throughout the Internet that SSD's should NOT be subjected to unnecessary writes, then file indexing and other activity that requires a lot of writes may decrease the life of the drive.

I think you're probably getting a little ahead of yourself. All of the SSD's larger than 128GB are crazy expensive!

Of course, they are usually in GB, not MB!

The newegg source should have two 250gb options.
The second source is about the recently released 512gb SSD drives.
