Where can I find a good community (like a forum) to ask advice about engagement rings?

Basically I am planning on purchasing an engagement ring, but I don't want to get shafted. I was hoping to find a decent community forum about engagement rings and such. Like how hardOCP.com is devoted to computer enthusiasts.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

With the internet you can do a little work and know what to look for. There isn't really a forum but I went to www.engagementexperts.com and found all sorts of info. You can also ask questions. I really liked the tip about not buying an even number carat size for your diamond because you pay more if they can call the diamond a half carat or a 1 carat so if you go a little off size you save a lot. Pricescope is another site and I think they have a forum but get very technical.

I really do believe it is a great thing you want to do some research to help you find the right pick for your lady. I would recommend the website www.Diamond.info . This is a great guide to all types of diamond engagement rings. Hope this helps.
