Where can I find a copy of The Theif and the Cobbler, the 2007 Recobbled cut?
But now that I heard Google is shutting down their Google video service, I really want to get some kind of copy of this film. Can anyone help me?
By the way, I will not accept the 1995 Miramax version or the 1993 Allied Filmmakers version.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Google has said that they're not going to remove anything (legal anyway), only stop allowing uploads soon.
So, for now, toss the URL in here and you'll be able to download local copies of any google video including the one you want:

I think that the version you're talking about was actually released in November of 2006. It is available for purchase from these places:

Alternatively, I'd toss a post up on Craigslist or keep an eye on ebay. Often, hard to find movies are sold used and can be had for a steal.

No, there's multiple copies because the Recobbled version isn't a Miramax release. In fact, it's not even a legal release per say. I think you'd have to understand the history of the film a bit more. I'm not a huge fan of Craigslist but I'll try ebay.
Hu, well that is a toughy to find then. Mirimax must have released a few different versions right up against each other. It's not unusual for larger grossing films, but for something small it sure makes things confusing, doesn't it?
The Pirate Bay has a copy with a few seeders and leachers listed under "The Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled Cut". I can't say it'll be much quicker or any more reliable than the one you've already tried to download.
Regardless, your best bet at getting this movie is likely Criagslist. I'd put a post up. I've found a couple of harder to find movies this way and for $20 - $40, a lot of folks will review their DVD / VHS collections to find something you really want.
Thanks, but that's the wrong version of the film.
