Where are the Law and Order shows on NBC filmed?
What city do they film Law and Order: SUV on NBC in? Do they film NBC's Law and Order: LA actually in LA?

Law and Order, the longest running franchise in television history outside of 60 Minutes, created by the legendary Dick Wolf.
Up until the most recent installment hitting Los Angeles, all of Law and Order’s are filmed in New York City. I know a lot of places will do their best to make up a NYC landscape, but the realism in NYC can only be found in the true thing.
So, Law and Order: SVU, specifically is filmed in New York City. Pay close attention to the exterior shots, you will see the Brownstones are as real as can be and not filmed on a set. And as far as Law & Order: Los Angeles, the location is in the title. There is no faking the streets or the beaches of Los Angeles.
Sadly, the Law & Order franchise has lost the originator, and the both of these have to carry on the torch. SVU is as solid now as it ever was, and LA seems to have promise. Stay tuned in to keep the series around.
