When Windows 95 was released, the installation CD contained a sample music video. I have a feeling it was Good Times by Edie Brickell.

Can anyone confirm this, I have looked but cannot find any reference to it anywhere, maybe you are better at researching than me, or maybe you remember it and possibly have a copy of the original installation CD. It was about 14 years ago, so I would be surprised. But hey, surprise me.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Good Times video was included as part of the multimedia samples on the Windows 95 installation CD-ROM.

I don't remember the "Good Times" video, but I do remember Weezer's "Buddy Holly" video being featured on my Windows 95. However, after a little research, I found that indeed Edie Brickell's "Good Times" was also featured on some CDs so there ya go! It is confirmed in this 1995 NYT article. I also remember that Hover game they mention. It was fun!

See, you are better at research than me LOL. The "some CDs" quote sounds about right. My copy was purchased in the UK, maybe they shipped different ones to different parts of the world.
Anyway, thank you so much for finding that article, I really appreciate it.
