When trying to start a business with 3 partners, what's the best procedures/plans to follow as far dividing things up.

Tip for best answer: M$0.00

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

First, talk to an objective attorney. My cousin was in this situation and divided the company by 3, equally. It was a nightmare when two partners decided to drive her out because they had all the power. A good attorney can help you "value" each partner's contribution and decide on a ownership structure that reflects that.

Hope this helps!
