when taking a poll on your logo choice should you just go with the majority vote or stick with your personal favorite.

Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I think the best voted logo should be considered, but in the end the decision is ultimately yours, unless you made an agreement to use the logo that gets the majority of the votes.. This is a logo that will be used to help brand your business. Customers and potential customers will see the logo and may make a decision on whether they use your company based on the professional look of things like the logo and website.

Public voting can give you an idea of what potential customers are looking for when it comes to first impressions. So you should definitely think long and hard about their opinion. Then if you still feel like there is a better choice, you can go with your gut instinct.

I would never 'just' go with the majority vote. The big question is WHY the majority favored that other logo over your personal choice. Is there something more appealing about it, that you might be able to incorporate in your personal favorite? What is it they like about the logo, and what do they dislike about your personal favorite?

Choosing a logo is tough, and often takes several iterations to get it right. That's why there are companies that are specialized in designing logos.

So, before throwing out your personal favorite, I would advise you to find out a bit more about the reasons behind their choices, and then go through another round of re-designing and diversifying the possible logos.

In the end, both you AND the public should be happy with the logo. It is important that you too are proud of your logo! A logo can make or break your company, it deserves a well-though through choice.
