When playing for the Knicks, Bill Bradley served as mayor of a small town in New Jersey. What town? What years?

It's not obvious that this was a position that Senator Bradley has ever held. The Senator's entry in the Biographical Directory of the United States Senate is very detailed (replicated below), yet it does not mention any term served as mayor in any city.
