When organizing live songs on iTunes should you sort by year recorded or year released?
There's really no right or wrong answer hear. I just want to hear what the community has to say.
For instance, Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood's album "Live From Madison Square Garden" was recorded in 2008 but released in 2009. John Lennon's album "Live in New York City" was recorded in 1972 but not released until 1986. Do you think I should sort my iTunes library by the year it was recorded or the year it was released?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I like to sort the live versions by year recorded. Because it tells you much more about the context of the performance than the year of release.
