Christmas eve and Christmas day are celebrated at the same time in Sweden, but they have holiday traditions that start much earlier.
They celebrate the advent much like the rest of the Christian world does which starts four sundays before December 25th.
They also celebrate Saint Lucia on the morning of December 13th. St Lucia is the patron saint of light.
