Christmas eve and Christmas day are celebrated at the same time in Sweden, but they have holiday traditions that start much earlier.
They celebrate the advent much like the rest of the Christian world does which starts four sundays before December 25th.
They also celebrate Saint Lucia on the morning of December 13th. St Lucia is the patron saint of light.

The Swedish traditions of Christmas are more associated around the celebration of light since their nights are longer and darker than most other countries. There are other traditions and special foods listed on the link above.
