You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Go to:
Settings > System Settings > Format Utility > Format Hard Disk
This will delete all of the data on the hard drive including game saves. All that will be left after this completes is the original PS3 software / firmware. It will clear the drive and should fix your problem.
If not, take the PS3 back to the store where you purchased it from. There may be something wrong with the Hard Drive and a quick simple exchange should result in a perfectly new system with no problems.
I own a PS3 and like it a lot.

No. I suspect that there may be something wrong with the hard drive in your system.
Ratchet and Clank does take up a bit of space, but nothing significant.
If you are within the allowed time, I would return the system to the store in exchange for a new one.
If you're not within the 14 - 30 days or whatever, call Sony at 1800345SONY.
You can also try swapping your hard drive in the system. There is guide here: http://playstation.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/playstation.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=362
i done the format but it still says not enough space but the other games i got works do i need a seperate memory card
