When does a question go in Voting mode?
When is the period of time that changes a question into the hands of the community to decide the best answer?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

If the question is not answered it stays in the unanswered mode. If you answer an old question - then that sends it into the voting mode so it is always great to answer older questions to move them along to voting.
If you see an old question that has been answered but still isn't in the undecided pile then just hit reply and type in bump to vote. This should send it on to the voting mode. We are encouraged to do that because sometimes there are glitches in the system and questions get stuck in limbo. I try to do this every few days to help move them out of limbo.
