The Wii was first released to the general public in several different countries during 2006, 2007 and 2008.
On November 19th 2006, nine different countries received their first Wii consoles within different stores. The first nine countries were the United States, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Colombia, Peru, Chile and Brazil.
Japan received their initial Wii consoles December 2nd 2006.
December 7th 2006, Australia, New Zealand, Italy and Switzerland received their first Wii consoles.
