The Beatles sensation began in 1964. The band left Liver Pool on February 7, 1964. They had released the single “I Want to Hold Your Hand” from their album two weeks prior to their arrival. Two million albums were sold during that short period of time. At JFK Airport there were more than three thousand people waiting to get a glimpse of them as they arrived. The Beatles had their first live broadcast on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” More than 74 million viewers had turned on the television to watch them that night. “[[Please Please Me[[” was the first album released by the Beatles. The band had went on to sell twelve albums including "A Hard Day's Night" and "Let It Be". In addition, they had also produced “The Magical Mystery Tour.”
