When did Hollywood stop looking for heroes in history and only take them from comic books? :' (

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The purpose of Hollywood filmmaking is to make money, so they make films aimed at the broadest possible audience. Unfortunately, more typical filmgoers have heard of Spiderman and Batman than have heard of Jackie Robinson or Florence Nightingale; and real-life heroism seldom involves giant flying robots, sexy costumes, or any of the other staples of modern Hollywood cinema.
