When are we going to start seeing extensions/ addons for Google Chrome?

I actually quite like using the Chrome browser. I'm surprised we haven't seen more add-ons available sooner. What's holding things up? It would be nice to able to use my StumbleUpon toolbar for example, or even something simple like Quick Note. Sorely miss my download manager as well.

What are your thoughts and ideas about Chrome add-ons? What's at the top of your wish-list?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Google has stated that Chrome will have extensions within the first quarter of '09. Since they seem pretty good at releasing things when expected I would imagine this will hold true.

Supposedly within a month. I hope so because I had to switch back to firefox because chrome wasn't offering me the things I need.

Wish list: image zoom, site prefetch (already enabled?), better bookmarking system

For what it is worth, the only information I have been able to pin down is that Google released this information about upcoming extensions on Nov 29, highlighting that it is a top priority:

http://dev.chromium.org/developers/design-documents/extensions

But there is no timeline that I have been able to find, leaked or otherwise.
