"I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems. On the cross, he forgave the people who crucified him. Jesus wanted us to be loving and forgiving. I don't know what makes people so cruel. Try being a gay woman in the Middle East—you're as good as dead."

I think its more important to use this as a time to ask myself: do I think Jesus was straight? The Bible doesn't speak of Jesus' sex life, its generally assumed that he didn't have one. So how can we make an assumption either way?
The only assumption that I am willing to make is that he was not asexual. He had human desires.
