Resident Evil 5 is way better than Resident Evil 4.
I really liked Killing 3 Majini with one grenade and deflecting the arrow with my knife.
While there were sections where you fought alongside comrades in RE4, this time a friend can jump in at any time either locally or online and play as new sidekick.
There are multiple types of pistols, machine guns, sniper rifles, grenades, and shotguns, in addition to rocket launchers, grenade launchers, mines, and a stun rod.
The texturing is incredible, with surfaces displaying with a startling clarity no matter how closely you examine it. Heat shimmer, tastefully done bloom lighting, swirling dust, light reflecting off every object just as it should-it all adds up to one amazing looking game. The massive monsters are the real highlight, and they do not disappoint. There are some strange loading screens before some of the bigger cinemas, but otherwise, the visuals are absolutely incredible.

Resident Evil 4 was revolutionary for its time, at least for the Resident Evil franchise. That right there makes it exteremely hard to beat. Resident evil 5, on the other hand, is an incredible game, hands down. At first, after time anfter time of playing RE5 I still stuck to my guns and claimed RE4 still held the gold. For God's sake RE4 won game of the year twice. But as time went on I began to favor RE5. So where do I stand now? Neither RE4 or RE5 is better than one another. RE5 is an improvement on RE4 and RE4 was, in my opinion, the greatest horror shooter I have ever played. There is no argument that RE5 is better since all its improvements were made in hind sight of RE4. I love both games and believe that if we keep seeing improvements like this (Maybe they could do a RE4-5 style Outbreak 3) than this series will have guaranteed its place in video game history!

I dont think so mate, re5 is not way better than 4. Its very good. With an updated system and co op which is great. But, and there are plenty. The lack of a survival mode is anoying. That stupid time limit on mercaneries is
the worst of all. There should have a survival mode aswell with no time limite and only your wits to survive with more and more hard enemies spawing over time. Residnt evil 4 was longer, more epic and allot more intense, if 4 was remade with the 5 engine and a few more modes added it would put five to dust. Chriss is ok but leon is a much stronger character.

I've only gotten to chapter 4-1 so far, and although it's definitely linear and has a similar structure to RE4, i am still having a total BLAST playing the game.

The graphics are the best i've seen so far in next gen consoles, the inventory system is pretty slick once you get used to it, but it's hard to heal yourself and stuff if you've got inventory items in the d pad corners.

All in all its 100% worth the money spent on it!
