My name is Larry Vincent Poupard. My parents decided to name me Larry, and not Laurence. They had a mutual friend by the name of Larry. The Vincent comes from St. Vincent de Paul which was the namesake of St. Vincent and Sarah Fisher Home for Abandoned Teans and Un-Wed Mothers. My grandmother worked there for decades, and my mother was a volunteer there.
My last name, Poupard, means, "doll maker," or, "puppet master," in French. If translated into Hebrew, it is, "Methusalah." This was one of the names of a decendent of Cain (from the Cain and Able story) who secretly pulled the chains of society and was said to have never died.
