When the kids were younger we were not able to go out alone, we simply did not have family near by. Date night has been simply amazing. Of course, as someone above mentioned, a trip would be amazing, but for me was and still is not realistic. We can not be gone over night. I have found just getting out with my husband, alone, and leaving work behind for a moment, as well, is simply amazing. It really does not matter where we go. The time alone with no kids, no dogs, and no work is priceless in its own right.
We have found that personally, we enjoy a cocktail and dancing. We are so happy to have quality time together, that we are often giddy. People that see us out never believe we have been married for over 15 years. We are like to young kids in love. We spend the night smiling, laughing, holding hands, dancing, and being passionate.
