What's your favorite TEDTalk?

Tip for best answer: M$4.55
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

My favorite by far is the following by Ken Robinson entitled "Do Schools Kill Creativity?" As a teacher, it really changed how I view many aspects of education.

Great one - and here's one related to education - 'Tinkering School' (Gever Tulley) helping kids learn by learning to fail...

My favorite TED talk is this one:

Sixth Sense Projection Technology TED
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XufEPvIcyAw

I really liked the idea, and have some thoughts on it. I believe it's interesting to think about, so it makes it my favorite. The whole thought of augmented reality and the topic in general is amazing.

This one is one of my favourites on TED. It gives a lot of insight and a different perspective on how we behave the way we do.

http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/jill_bolte_taylor_s_powerful_stroke_of_insight.html

----quote-------

Jill Bolte Taylor got a research opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: She had a massive stroke, and watched as her brain functions -- motion, speech, self-awareness -- shut down one by one. An astonishing story.

Brain researcher Jill Bolte Taylor studied her own stroke as it happened -- and has become a powerful voice for brain recovery.

I love TEDTalk. Amazing and very helpful.

I agree on this video. Sometimes awareness comes when you're more in peace.

I can't say that I've seen all that many of them.

But this one is great... Dan Ariely on "Are we in control of our decisions?"

It's fun, eye-opening, and it covers a very important topic. You'll get insights into your own behavior, and see how that matters for issues big and small, in your own life and in business and public policy.

He starts off:

"I'll tell you a little bit about irrational behavior...not yours, of course, other people's..." :)

This is a virtually impossible question! There are just too many great TED talks to choose from.

But I think I will have to go with Bonnie Bassler's talk on how bacteria "talk" to each other using a chemical language.

Every once in a while you think to yourself "there's just nothing left to be invented and/or discovered". Then you hear a talk like this one and realize just how much is out there left to figure out.

Trey are amazing, this one is my current favorites: Ian Dunbar talks about how we can all be better at recognizing the positive and 'rewarding' those around us - based on animal behavior (dog training) theory.

P.S.
Another all time favorite is about 'Tinkering School' see the video in my comment to @Demanda's response above.
