You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Here are a few based completely from the food. I have another "lunch" list that focuses on the view rather then the food.

Since we don't get to Carriacou every day, I can often be found having a light meal at Panera Bread. Fast service, healthy choices, good value and FREE wi-fi!

I sure have been lucky to eat in quite a few nice places in the past few years.
But you didn't answer the question! What is your favorite restaurant?
@albanian - My favorite is a tie between all of these and more! The problem with picking just one is that a fine dining experience is based on a large number of things. From how the kitchen staff is feeling, to the energy in the room, to the wait staff, to the weather.
Rob you MUST make a choice, you can do it, Pick ONE.
Thank you for all of your great answers Rob! Any more restaurants in the LA area?
Ok ... ok... my favorite?
The breakfast buffet at the W in San Francisco.
Being from the East Coast and into tech, I love S.F.
The last time that I was there, I enjoyed a simple, early breakfast on a patio near the top of the hotel. I watched the sun come up and the fog lift over the bridge with the company that I was with. The concierge was nice enough to send up samples of many early morning favorites including small made-to-order crepes, smoked salmon bagels, fresh fruit. The meal, the individual service, the view and the experience set this apart from all of the nice (traditional) restaurants I've been in.
A close second is the French Laundry. Michelin rated Chefs know their stuff.
A close third, Flambee in Prague. The service was exceptional (really, I'm not just using the word exceptional, I had my own waiter)... the food was unique... the experience was phenomenal.
I could go on like this for some time :) I've really been very lucky.
Wow I want to go out to lunch with Rob!!
@eatthepopcorn LA specific... I have these written down:
Hoagies & Wings at Venice Beach
The Ivy
Twist
The stinking rose (I love me some garlic)
The Restaurant at the Getty Center
