what's your favorite number? why?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

1. Mario Lamieux has always been my favorite hockey player, and sports humanitarian. He wore the number 66 for the Pitts Penguins.
2. Numerically speaking - a numerologist might call a number that is repeated three times as a perceptual number. Perception is what I write about all the time since I write a lot about hidden symbolism.
3. I have written two books, and hundreds of articles, about horror symbolism. 666 is a number that tons of people are afraid of due to a certain infamous Bible passage. Due to the symbolism of the number, I have always found it intersting how is makes it's way into hundreds of horror movies and horror stories.
While there has been debate over the years about the accuracy of the actual passage (if it says 666 or 616), it is intersting that so many people shy away from the number. Some believe that simply printing the number is bad luck.
There are people that I know that will add items to a store order if they think that $6.66 might come up on the register. There are otehrs that I have seen pray whenever they come across the number 666.
Due to the religious qualities of the number 666, people have added mythical qualities to it. they have made te number inherrantly evil. they have made the number have power over them by having to pray or change their habits because of it. It is impossible to write about the horror symbolism that I write about without having a laugh at there people. They have inserted the Devil into a tree digit number pattern. Interesting.
