To be honest I love all of the Law and Order series.
For me though my favorite has to be law-order-criminal-intent.
Why, well the reasons are:
1) I think the show has excellent serious crime cases. Time and time again the plots keep me guessing.
2) I think Vincent Donofrio is simply the best Actor out of any of the Law and Order franchises. I just love the way he ponders and muses over facts with the suspected and gets a confession out of them.
3) I think Kathryn Erbe also plays as a superb support role in this series.
4) I like the serious crime aspect of this series, it appeals to me more than the sexual crimes of Law and Order SVU and more than the general crimes of Law and Order, although they are both still good.
Long may Law and Order Criminal Intent continue as a part of my television diet!
