What's your favorite Hollywood movie car?

Doc's Time Machine? Batman's Tumbler? James Bond's Aston Martin? Hmmm?
Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I did a quick ctrl-f for the word Vanishing and did not find anything so I am guessing that nobody has answered

The white 1970 Dodge Challenger in Vanishing Point

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pA4ymmXa8rs

The only other vehicle that compares to this piece of awesome is the "Highland Green" 1968 Ford Mustang 390 CID Fastback in Bullitt.

Quentin Tarantino would agree with me.

He proves that the Challenger was the best movie car in his homage to old school movies called Deathproof.

Val Kilmer's C70 in the Saint... it was one of those dream cars that became reality for the masses within a year.

The Batmobile of Batman Returns. Not only did it look awesome, it could transform into that hotdog lookin' thing. And it set a devil on fire...

I like Will Smith's Audi in "I, Robot" - great looks, auto pilot, great handling, and close enough to reality to be believable.

In my opinion, the best Hollywood movie car has got to be the Bluesmobile from "the Blues Brothers." For over fifteen years, "the Blues Brothers" held the record for the most cars destroyed in the making of a film (the record was broken by "The Blues Brothers 2000"). Legend has it that thirteen different Bluesmobiles were built for different scenes in the movie - one was even built so that it would fall apart when the Blues Brothers got out of the car.
The Bluesmobile has some great stunt work, particularly in a scene where it races through a shopping mall as Jake and Elwood make witty comments about the passing stores.

Also of note is another car from "the Blues Brothers" - a Ford Pinto that was actually dropped over a mile from a helicopter.

I thought that this one was also a good candidate and original, too.
