Whats your favorite heavy metal band??

Tip for best answer: M$0.50
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

This is a difficult question.
My current favorite album is "Death Is This Communion" from High on Fire. But Disturbed, Korn, Mastodon, Otep, Rammstein, Skindred, Slayer and Slipknot are all required listening...

Man do I miss the days of Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary and Septic Death wow what a time warp.

My trouble is that I never escaped the 80s metal time warp...
High on fire is just the bastard child of a medical experiment with Black Sabbath and Motorhead DNA.

Wow, that video is rather gruesome. I hadn't seen anything from them since they were railing against Hoodie and the Blowfish...

I love to listen to metal while I am snowboarding and what I like best then is the Deftones. There is nothing like the feeling of gravity+snow+metal.(= air)

Yeah us 38 year old whippersnappers with our big hair... good times! In 1986 when I started out we listened to the Beastie Boys while riding but when I think about it I never did see any of those big hair dudes on the slopes.

You young whipper snappers and your fancy board riding! When I was your age, we stayed away from those boards on account of having all that big hair got in your eyes and made it hard to see..... Plus, I never once saw Ozzy or Metallica out on the slopes...

Actually I was just known in those days as the man with "shoulder width hair", a.k.a. blonde afro. And I'm of the same whippersnapper age, I just never tried strapping less than two planks of wood on my shoes..

Hmm, well they're not straight heavy metal, but I love System of a Down
