What's your favorite Foodie Movie?

One of my favorite foreign films is Like Water for Chocolate and I recently watched Julie & Julia, which I really enjoyed.

What's your favorite movie that stars either really great food or cooking?
What made it so great?
Please include links or information so I can order it! Come on... make me hungry!

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Oh, great question. I love Mystic Pizza with Julia Roberts, but my all-time favorite is Simply Irresistible http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0145893/. It combines cooking and a love story. It is just a really wonderful feel good movie. It stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Sean Patrick Flanery. It even has a bit of magic thrown in, plus the food looks so scrumptious.

I wouldn't call it a great movie, but it's a pretty good flick and in my opinion well worth the watch.
Waitress
Its the only one that comes to mind that revolves around food.
Reasons I liked it are in order of rank
#1 I like Pie!
#2 I think Keri Russell is cute
#3 I like Nathan Fillion's acting and Keri Russell and Fillion match up well in this movie.
#4 It's got Andy Griffith in it, I grew up watching Sheriff Taylor..
#5 This movie gave me a few good laughs and who can't use a laugh?

The movie 'Chocolat' is one flick that I really enjoyed from back in the year 2000. You know, the one where Juliette Binoche plays a sort of drifting, journeyman, gypsy single mother who ends up in a small French town and opens up a Chocolaterie. Then, as some townspeople become entranced by her marvelous chocolate creations others start to think she's evil and even plot against her. The ringleader of this dissension being the local Comte (played by Alfred Molina).

Come to think about it this flick may ultimately have had a little less to do with its theme of food then its theme of magic and serendipity. But nonetheless I think when you watch Chocolat, you end up wanting to eat high quality chocolate, and may perhaps come to appreciate it more as well.
