What's your favorite advertising jingle and why do you like it the most? Post a video or a sound clip of your favorite jingle.

Tip for best answer: M$1.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

It is my favorite jingle and it was so well done by this child and it touches the heart of adults. It keeps the viewers entertain and it focuses on its purpose.

The Almond Joy and Mounds jingle. The double entendre of this jingle is simply brilliant. "Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don't."
Not only do you get the invitation to be a little "nutty" but you get to decide whether you want some "real milk chocolate, coconut and munchy nuts too" or just plain "deep dark chocolate and chewy coconut ooh ooh" The song is contagious, and ever since I first saw it in the seventies I have not forgotten it. There were many video versions of the ad that went with the jingle, which is yet another testament to how simply awesome this jingle is.

A1980s commercial for Birdseye Potato Waffles continues to enjoy cult status in the UK and Ireland.

Waffles go with almost anything, so the catch-phrase was that they were “waffly versatile”.

There was a long version that listed all the different things they could be enjoyed with . . . here are the lyrics :

“Bird's Eye potato waffles, they're waffly versatile
They go with beans, bangers, bacon, burgers, fish fingers … a-fish fingers,
Eggs in, eggs on, gammon, steak, chops
Grill 'em, Bake 'em, Fry 'em, Eat 'em,
Bird's Eye potato waffles, they're waffly versatile”

Unfortunately no-one has posted the full version to youtube yet, but there is an edited version

The ad's iconic status is also illustrated by this (drunken) video tribute.

Mine is a Corn Nuts radio jingle that ran maybe 10 years ago or so. I laughed til I cried when I first heard it because I couldn't believe it made it to the airwaves! Apparently, it was pulled after a short period of time for being too risque.

WARNING: It's a little NSFW.

The Education Connection commercials. I used to hate the jingle, but now I find it intoxicating! Don't know why, but I find myself singing along to it now.

It doesn't technically have words, so I'm not sure if this qualifies as a jingle, but it was written specifically for this commercial and I'm always annoyed that there's not a full version out there somewhere - it's a great song!

I'm also a really big fan of the recent Intel commercials, and the way they have a bunch of people sing the "bummm bum-bum-bum-bum" part is great. I think that's a very short, yet extremely identifiable mini-song.

They just don't make them like this any more. That's Bix on trumpet! It's almost enough to make me give my girlfriend the boot and find one named Lucille.
