I got a magic mouse with my latest iMac purchase, and used it for a couple weeks. I enjoyed it, but actually found that it strained by pointer finger -- I seemed to be over-compensating for the lack of physical scroll wheel by flicking my finger harder than necessary. :) Sounds silly, but this ended in some legit discomfort (which went away after a few days of going back to a normal mouse).
I ended up with a fairly conventional wired mouse because 1) wireless mice always seem to run out of juice at the most inopportune times, 2) I hate replacing batteries, and 3) the ergonomics of the Magic Mouse bothered me.
If you aren't a heavy computer user (less than 3-4 hours a day), or really really like the mouse gestures, you'll probably be fine with the Magic Mouse. But it wasn't for me.

Thanks. And how does it connect?USB?
It connects via Bluetooth. So as long as you have a Mac with built-in Bluetooth it requires no wires or USB dongle.
agreed... for some reason the ergonomics of it seem a bit off and after long uses hurt my hand. It also seems to be calibrated differently from my other mouse - movements with the magic mouse are shorter than my other mouse so I pick it up a lot... if that makes any sense. It's a quality build, but not practical for me.
