What's up with the voting? How come you can sort by newest but not the oldest?
It however, will give you the option to sort by 'Undecided First'. This may in fact be sorting by the oldest, but if this is the case there are some old questions there from May of last year. Is this a bug?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

When selecting to view all Open Questions you will see the questions starting with the oldest. The Undecided Questions are ones you cannot add answers to, but that need voting by the community to decide on Best Answer (or No Best Answer).
The reason you see so many questions starting May 2009 is that it was at that time that Mahalo imported a huge number of questions from Twitter. The flood of Twitter questions (and some not really questions) that Mahalo members were unable to answer all of them, and over time, with newer questions pushing those into the back pages so to speak, many of these were never answered.
Last November Jeff Hoard (then the Mahalo Answers community manager) asked Mahalo members to go back and try to clear out as many of those questions as possible, and whatever non-questions we reported, or questions that were out of date, he removed. Having another such effort, whether by individual members or as a coordinated effort (Creative Task perhaps - Corey?) will help clear some more of these old questions.

When I said open I should have said Unanswered. When I go to:
http://www.mahalo.com/answers?filter=open&sortby=sort_unanswered
I see the first questions are from May 2009.
Actually I have been around for a while and was here when they starting importing the twitter questions, so I was aware of that. My point was that the questions are not sorting correctly. I think that it is a bug. Before the change in the interface, you used to be able to sort by "Oldest" as well as "Newest". When I click on 'Open Questions', it sorts by newest first (less than a minute old). When I select for 'Undecided', it sorts by the oldest first.
