"Up" is an animated movie produced by Disney and Pixar animation that was released in 2009. It features an older man who has recently lost his wife and a young boy who is some kind of scouting program and eager to get new badges for his scouting sash. The older gentleman is about to have to move due to new developments in the area and the fact that the land his home sits on is needed for commercial ventures.

While the boy is standing on the old man's porch, the house begins to float away, taking both of them to a far away world. If I remember correctly, this was somewhere in South America. Once there, they are met with vicious talking dogs, most of which are Pit Bulls in order to coincide with popular modern stereotypes regarding dog breeds. These dogs work for one man who turns out to be someone whom the older man admired earlier in life. That's about all that I can remember about this movie, except that they make it back and the little boy gets his scouting badges. There was also a blimp in this movie, and it is kind of sad at times as the old man frequently reminisces about his younger days and adventures with his wife. It is not a bad movie, if you are into animated productions at all.
