Anything except the usual nice stuff. Sure, movies are cute and dinners are nice, but do something fun. Do you both have something in common that you love to do? Mini-golf is a blast for dates because the atmosphere is really light and fun. Or go bowling. A little friendly competition is nice... but don't try to make a fool of your date because they're horrible at bowling/golf/etc. Make it fun.
My first date was a trip to the local airport (my boyfriend and I are both pilots). We didn't fly due to weather, but we both talked about something we have in common in an atmosphere we both enjoyed. Two years later, we're just fine. Hehe.
