What's the number one tourist thing to do in San Francisco, CA?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I say those three because you can easily walk to all of them.
I would go down to the wharf just to see the Sea Loins!

M$The number one thing to SEE/GO TO... Fisherman's Wharf/Pier 39/Ghirardelli Square.
In fact... take the Cable Car TO Ghirardelli Square! The best of BOTH worlds!

As a life-long Bay Area resident and lover of San Francisco... I 100% agree. If you've never been to SF, the Pier 39 area is the one "MUST GO" area... but, it's often populated with MANY tourists...
Golden Gate Bridge is fine... but difficult to get to if you don't have a car.
(The sea lions have left the pier though...)
(And don't get me started on what a "sea loin" is, @bunnyphuphu...)
