First Glenn Beck did not start the Tea Party. It was a grass roots activity started by those across the nation who are fed up with abuse of the tax system. Taxation has become hijacked by believers in Marx & Engels doctrine and used as a system for applying social justice. The initial intention was to use tax revenues to support the federal government. In the 1900s progressives expanded the Fedreal Government to include social programs, removing them from traditional programs which were usually administered by faith based organizations. This was done in order to provide leverage for the failing democratic party. With social programs under the control of the federal government, all aspects of the poor and disadvantaged would be at the beck and call of the progressive state. Voters would be required to vote for progressives in order to keep their entitlement programs (government dole),active.
The current Tea Party wants social justice programs at the federal government level ended and returned back to their rightful place among faith based and private organizations. This would vastly reduce the size and scope, as well as the cost of the current federal government. It would place the power over social decisions back into the hands of We the people and remove it from government intervention. The end result is a smaller and less costly federal government and social power back in the hands of the people
