Churros were developed centuries ago by Spanish shepherds. Since in the mountainous region of Spain it is impossible to get fresh baked goods so these nomadic folks of the hills came up with this Churros, a delicious cake-like, cylindrical which could be easily cooked in a pan over an open fire.
