The Aston Martin DB9 and the Aston Martin DBS actually have quite a bit in common. In fact, I once heard it said that the DBS should probably be called the DB9-S instead. Essentially, the DBS is exactly what the DB9 is in terms of style and character, but edgier, faster and more expensive. It's a DB9 that offers a little "more".
For example, the DB9 has 470 horsepower while the DBS has 510. It's not a gigantic jump, but it's enough that it makes a solid difference, and it's especially interesting because both engines are identically sized 6.0 V12s. The DBS has edgier styling, and there is more of a focus on weight savings. Both of these things also work to drive up the price, of course, and the DBS is significantly more expensive.
