What's the difference between Howard Stern and Don Imus?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Honestly, I’m not sure if there are any differences between Howard Stern and Don Imus. In fact, their similarities in personalities is probably what makes their rivalry one of the most long-running in radio history. Both men have had a long career in radio, both have their own shows, and both are known for their shocking antics and comments on radio. The only difference between them is probably the origins of their career; Stern began his in New York while Imus started in California.

Howard Stern’s career started in 1976 where he worked part time with New York radio station WRNW. He would later move on to other stations such as WWDC, WNBC and WXRK (all based in the New York area with the exception of WWDC which was based in Washington DC). Stern even went on to write two books and make a film. He is currently signed to Sirius XM, which is a subscription-based internet radio service.

Don Imus started his career in 1968 at KUTY in California. He later went on to KJOY and then to KXOA, all located in California. He currently hosts his own show on the Fox Business Network which broadcasts his show, “Imus in the Morning”. Like Howard Stern, he has also written books, and owns a coffee shop and a ranch.
