What's the difference between Apple TV & Google TV? What's better?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

To me - Apple TV is better. Cost wise - i believe that Apple is better. Only $99. Google is trying to turn your tv into a computer, and Apple is doing no such thing. Apple think people do not want computers on their TV.

Here is an article that goes over the differences... And they agree, Apple is better. Google doesnt really have that much of a shot....

And a few more... Just in case they offer any different points...

Now I can enjoy my blu-ray collections on my iPad 3 with stereo and ATV 3 with Dolby Digital 5.1. Although its common sense, still need to remind is ATV 3 only supports Dolby Digital 5.1 pass though, you need an AV receiver. If you have problem to setup ATV 3 to play Dolby Digital 5.1, pls check Setting up Apple TV for Dolby Digital 5.1 pass-through.
