What's the deal with the Mahalo Task Limit?

I started to look into the tasks section, and I started to like it. So, I did a bunch of tasks (like 5) and now it won't let me, so is there a limit on how many tasks you can do a day? Or is it a certain amount per level per day?
Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I haven't seen anywhere where there is a limit to the number of tasks that you can claim, by belt level or otherwise. In the link below on how the tasks system works there is nothing to indicate that there is a limit to the number of allowed tasks.

This could be a bug. Or maybe it is data left out of the link below. Either way I would send an email to contact@mahalo.com and report it. I have noticed that the profile page is a little buggy on Tasks - if I click on rejected tasks, all my tasks come up even pending ones and approved ones. I don't know if this is a related issue or a new problem.

Yeah, I guess it's to keep one person from claiming like 10 at once or keeping someone from just putting random stuff that doesn't apply or something.

Maybe they just want to spread the wealth around. :-)

I just checked through the questions too and I didn't see any announcement from Mahalo about tasks limits.

"You have reached your limit for claiming tasks. You will need to complete or abandon some of your currently claimed tasks before you can claim any more."

Is what it says. I dunno about a bug, but it's possible, because while they fixed a LOT of bugs over the past week, there are still a few left.

Interesting. Which means that there is a limit, but it hasn't been publicized.

I know that there is a limit on the number of claimed tasks you can have at any given point. I am not sure if it is broken down by belt level, but it would not surprise me. Tasks are not considered complete until they have been reviewed and accepted. It seems like it is taking the Mahalo folks a bit of time to get through the review process. I finished three tasks a couple days ago and have yet to have them reviewed. Which means I also cannot claim any additional tasks. I have contacted one of the Mahalo guides to look into this.

Yeah, I did an additional two earlier today, and those got reviewed in like 25 minutes. Maybe they are being bogged down and I got lucky then?

Probably not enough tasks to go around. Too many in line for too few tasks. uh oh...
